Celebrate National Donut Day with the Best Donuts in Michiana | Cressy & Everett

Whether they're glazed, frosted, or sugared, traditional or filled with jelly or cream, there's nothing better than a fresh bakery donut. November 5th is National Donut Day, and it's the perfect time to get one or a dozen of your favorite treats. If you've just moved to the Michiana area, there are plenty of great places to get delicious donuts, and our real estate agents know all the best spots. Here are some of our favorites.

  • Amanda's Bake Shop - 7394 E. Main St., Eau Claire, MI 49111
    You never know what kind of donuts you'll find when you go to Amanda's Bake Shop. Located near Eau Claire homes for sale, their three basic flavors are available daily: vanilla, blueberry, and apple cider. Their other flavors are rotated on and off the menu seasonally and can even change daily. Right now, there's a good chance of getting pumpkin donuts. In the summer, you might find cherry or lemon donuts and chocolate. There are also a variety of different icings and glazes for each. The cherry donuts have chocolate or vanilla icing, while the pumpkin ones have cinnamon sugar or cream cheese frosting. Call ahead to see what's on the menu today, or just go in and be surprised! One thing's certain, though: Whatever you get will be hot, fresh, delicious, and one of the best donuts you've ever tasted.

  • Rise'n Roll Bakery - 3915 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545
    Founded by an Amish couple using recipes handed down for generations, the donuts at Rise'n Roll Bakery are now famous throughout the Michiana area. There are several locations in Indiana, and the one near Mishawaka homes for sale always has great flavors available. Their most popular is their cinnamon caramel donut: a secret recipe with caramel sauce and cinnamon sugar. They also have a variety of other amazing flavors, such as their Crunch Bismark, sprinkled with toffee pieces, and their peanut butter donut, filled with homemade Amish peanut butter and marshmallow creme.

  • Jack's Donuts - 623 E. LaSalle Ave., South Bend, IN, 92592
    Few things go better with great donuts than great coffee, and Jack's Donuts has both. While plenty of donut shops have special flavors for a limited time, Jack's weekend specials last only three days before they're gone. Some of their past creations have included peach cobbler donuts, s'mores donuts, maple pecan pie cake donuts, and caramel apple fritters. Check their social media pages to see what's in stock, or just go in and see for yourself. Whatever it is, it's sure to be amazing—especially with a cup of their amazing, specially crafted Naptown Roast coffee—a medium roast with hints of dark chocolate and spice that's the perfect companion to any donut.

  • Glazed and Confused Artisanal Donuts - 418 E. 4th St., Mishawaka, IN 46544
    Do you prefer your donuts baked instead of fried? Glazed and Confused Artisanal Donuts has you covered. A small, independently-owned bakery, they can often be found at local farmers' markets and other events in the South Bend area. They pride themselves on custom flavors for any event and a variety of seasonal and holiday flavors—all in a deliciously baked cake donut form.
